Type 3s (1) : Tractor

A week of photos of the Type 3 diesel locomotives (which had engines rated between 1,500 and 1,999hp) that have served with British Rail. The Class 37, known as Tractors by some enthusiasts, was the most successful Type 3 and a good number still serve on national rails today. DRS 37 601 is seen here at Crewe with some newer motive power.
